He was in single digits and and it briefly looked like his campaign was finished. How did he perform so poorly the state? Was all of that just fallout from his unexpectedly poor showing in IA? In retrospect, was he just a poor fit for the primary electorate (especially the low number of black voters)?

It was answered in another thread that Iowa and New Hampshire favor novelty and regional candidates. Biden was neither. Combine that with his lackluster campaign and anemic fundraising and that's why he tanked so hard in both states.
