I was tempted to do one with JFK Jr coming back as Trump's Vice President but I decided that might be, in its own way, too real.

John F. Kennedy Jr.

Mayor of New York City: January 1, 2002 - December 31, 2009
Governor of New York: January 1, 2011 - January 13, 2017
President of the United States: January 20, 2017 -

Okay so this is a bit more extensive than I meant it to be when I started this. Any parallels?

Neil Kinnock
MP for Islwyn 1970-
Shadow Secretary of State for Education and Science 1979-1983
Shadow Secretary of State for Transport 1983-1987
Shadow Secretary of State for Trade and Industry 1987-1992
Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer 1992-1997
Chancellor of the Exchequer 1997-2005
Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs 2005-2010
Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs 2010-2010
Leader of the Labour Party 2010-
Leader of the Opposition 2010-2015
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom 2015-

Basically, Kinnock doesn't become Labour leader in '83 like in OTL, and Thatcher wins in '87 and gets forced out and is replaced by Major who goes on to win in '92 like in OTL. Kinnock runs for the Leadership a couple of times and gets shifted around the Shadow Cabinet and eventually becomes Shadow Chancellor. He becomes Chancellor upon Labour's victory in '97 like in OTL. He is popular for his handling of the economy. Jack Straw leaves the Foreign Office a year earlier than OTL and Kinnock is seen as being the only one with the stature to replace him, so he moves to the Foreign Office, where he begins cleaning up the mess in Iraq. He is retained by his replacement as Chancellor, Gordon Brown, in 2007, but Labour loses in 2010 like in OTL. Despite him starting to think about retirement, he is persuading to stand for leadership and wins, despite an unexpectedly tough challenge from Jeremy Corbyn, who stands five years earlier than OTL. He goes on to lead the Labour Party to victory in 2015 despite some concerns about his age, as he is well-regarded for his experience and well-liked despite some occasional gaffes. The Brexit Referendum doesn't happen, he handles COVID well, and the economy is generally strong despite the pandemic. The election is delayed until 2021 under an act of Parliament and he leads Labour to a landslide victory. He is currently in his second term as Prime Minister and is seen as likely to stand down before the next general election.

You can only go two terms at a time as Florida Governor. This is so great I didn't want something small like that to ruin it.
