The differences between the national parliaments and the European Parliament delegations of France and the UK is a great argument for how Proportional Representation leads to vastly different seat outcomes with the same electorate compared to single member districts.  In France the largest party in the European election has practically no seats in the national parliament.

Hey, I'm American, though I have spent time in Europe.  Btw, I love seeing the distribution of seats for the German delegation without the 5% threshold that applies for the Bundestag elections.

   According to the BBC site vote count nothing has come from London yet. I wonder what kind of a massive win Labour will get out of London to overtake UKIP's lead.

Also of interest is that An Independence from Europe, the English Democrats, the BNP, and a few other such splinter parties who might have potential pro-UKIP voters, are getting over 3% of the vote.

So whats the story of the Austrian People's Party doing so well in the middle of Vienna?
