Let's be honest, about 40 LDs need to give a firm No vote for it to fail. It'll pass and to pretend otherwise is stupid. The fall from grace of the Liberals is their own doing.

Amusing. Several Tory right-wingers have announced that they're going to vote against this.

Why would they do that?

David Davis wants to be the leader.

Yes. (Also known as Parliamentary Private Secretary, but don't ask me what they do.)

Bag carriers.

Yep; they don't get paid and the camera generally cuts their heads off at PMQs.

Guess it's good if you wanna make it to the front bench after a term or so. Chucka Ummuna is Ed Miliband's PPS, right?

Right so, the Sinners 5 MPs abstain and remember the Speaker doesn't vote. 644 MPs, 323 needed for majority.

306 Conservatives - David Davis's no vote = 305 - an assumed 5 Tory no votes = 300

300 + 17 LD Ministers = 317, so 6 YES votes needed

Let's be serious, more than 6 backbench LibDems will vote yes, or abstain. I best get saving then, I guess...

Smithson at PB.com reckons 18 LDs will vote no.

My opinion is just fair play to Cameron, did we really expect any different from him and the Tories? If you did, you're thick.

Clegg and the LDs on the other hand. They're the ones i'm angry at.

Get rid of Trident and we could scrap fees altogether. Seems pretty simple to me.

And withdraw from the EU? Wink

... For the Tories.

Remember what happened after the last bad riots?  1983.

You mean the poll tax in 1990. Roll Eyes

Sort've OT, but does anyone think Clegg can last much far past the AV referendum (assuming it fails)? When do the Liberals reach the point and say "enough is enough" and get a new leader?
