Facebook responded to claims made by President Joe Biden and his administration this week that the social media platform was not doing enough to combat vaccine misinformation, saying that the administration was looking for “scapegoats” to blame after the administration failed to reach its vaccine goals.

When asked about his thoughts about misinformation on Facebook, Biden told a reporter, “They’re killing people.”

“The only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated, and they’re killing people,” Biden added.

“We will not be distracted by accusations which aren’t supported by the facts,” Facebook said in response.

Imagine inculpating Facebook and Fox News for your own administration’s ineptitude. Regardless of how you feel about Facebook as a company, they are more than correct to point out that the Biden administration is looking for a scapegoat for their many lack of triumphs, including with vaccines so far.

Remember that the root cause of all Republican lies about the vaccine is that Trump wants the pandemic to continue claiming lives so his presidency doesn't look so bad relative to Biden's.

Anyway, is Biden saying that Facebook is killing people or that people spreading misinformation over social media are killing people? My direct reaction to that clip was closer to the latter, but it seems as though the former interpretation has spread because it is more provocative.

It also seems like Facebook was deliberately confrontational in its response to this as a deliberate distraction from Psaki's comments on the same day about the White House having a direct line to Facebook moderators.

I do believe that the WH does have a direct line to Facebook moderators, but I also believe that even Zuckerberg finds the Biden’s regime’s attempts to act as the moderator of Facebook to be overbearing.
