This is the most recent early voting turnout map:

This is very different from what happened in NM-1 or California. No, this doesn’t mean that I believe Youngkin will win, but an upset is less insane than how I imagined it in mid September (after I was 9 points off on the California recall).

Useful chart

Early voting turnout (which benefits Democrats) is horrendous, including in most blue regions. I don’t see how T-Mac wins by single high digits like certain users on here claim- this isn’t the turnout required for an 8 point win in the state so far.

McAuliffe is objectively running the worst campaign I’ve witnessed in years.

Trump is an egomaniac and he’s going to purposely sabotage Youngkin so if he loses, he can say it’s because he didn’t embrace Trump enough.

True, but I'm wondering if that bares out. This is the first poll to show that Biden voters are not exclusively going to T-Mac. Most polls are showing both sides with about ~95% support. This one shows way more Dem/Youngkin voters than Rep/McAuliffe voters.

I don’t know if Trump-McAuliffe voters will be a thing. Ancestral Republicans in NOVA voting Democratic is an entirely different story.

High election day turnout is exactly what Youngkin needs, and yet strangely you see the same people who said Youngkin needed exactly that now spin this as a plus for McAuliffe (this also goes for a lot of Republican doomers, not just liberals).

NBC’s exit poll in Virginia specifically has Biden’s approval at 43% and disapproval is at 56%.

Exit polls are not necessarily equivalent to the word of God, but I cannot see how you can spin this result as possibly good news for Biden/Dems/T-Mac.

It’s over.

I don’t take exit polls as gospel on principle and I get the argument that not everyone who approves of Youngkin will necessarily vote for him, but this is UNDENIABLY a fantastic sign for Youngkin if it’s anywhere close to reality.

I remain confident in my prediction of a Youngkin victory.

With Manassas City in about 90% in Youngkin is at 80% of Trump’s vote total while Terry is at just 59% of Biden’s.

This is a very diverse city, with a plurality Latino population.

I will never forget NSV harassing me all over this forum after I was off (like everyone else) in the CA recall.

I don’t necessarily believe this but it is interesting how much of a drastic shift this is from the CNN/WAPO polls.
