Hmmm...probably went blue in 1984. Not sure about 1972 or 1952/1956, since LA County went red in all 3 elections but not by a massive amount. 1928, it went red for sure (LA County gave Hoover 70%). So I'll say either 1928, 1952, 1956 or 1972. Gun to my head, maybe one of the elections in the fifties.
