I am so hopeful we can make you the new Libertas. Be sure to post exceptionally large pictures in every post (dimensionally challenged if possible) and go into even more detail about your trysts in the Greatest City on Earth when you have time to share with us.

I am in New York less and less these days, but I did some girl wearing a MAGA hat on Market Street here earlier this year. I was wide-eyed shocked and did a triple take. She seemed rather normal and no one acted out of the ordinary at all. Though the outer boroughs are hardly comparable to the city center here, I wouldn't even dare do so much in West Virginia.

I discovered a little less than a year ago that every birthday after 21 was simply part of a long, dismal, undistinguished march toward the grave. Indeed, I hadn't really felt I accomplished anything since March 2017.

That's exactly I feel! Life is all downhill from here! The birthdays just mark how long our suffering lasts.

I just arrived home to find dozens of people from a movie crew literally on my front porch step. Supposedly the Ron Weasley actor was on my porch this evening (or yesterday?)! Too bad! Got home well past midnight the last two nights too so I totally missed out.

Will be going back to school in the fall, and as of this June/July (depending on girlfriend's schedule ... has an interview in Chicago today!), my avatar will finally make sense!  Lol

Finally getting that MBA? Or gonna be a real Chad and do financial economics?

Lol, MBA.  Got the GMAT waiver this spring, so I pulled the trigger.  Probably the right time career-wise for me.

I thought this seemed very early for that type of program, but then I realized you're old! 2.5 years older? I thought it was one! No wonder why you used "LOL" so much.

We had apparently met when they were dating and she later saw me at my neighborhood pool and approached me, which resulted in us realizing we’re literally exactly the same in our religious, political, and cultural beliefs and tastes.
Since you’re apparently both “reformed” white nationalists, a good first date idea would perhaps be tiki torch shopping? Or maybe you could tag team on atlas and BOTH be d¡cks to Muslims that just said how much they dislike when people are d¡cks to Muslims! Such a cute couple. Purple heart

Knowing you, this relationship will go great. Unless you find out she went to Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Best of luck! Cheesy
Nah she’s from this part of the state, but yeah, being from Boca or Parkland is an immediate red flag to me.

I think being from Florida is an immediate red flag for most people.

Wow, how did I miss an outstanding meetup from the CHI-town crew until now! I can't wait to go back to Chicago for basketball season. The greatest city on earth just got greater

This week, It has taken every ounce of effort not to turn into nine year old George Bailey defending the honor of his father to Potter at the Savings and Loan "Don't let him say that about you, Pa."

The contempt I have for rudeness is making me see red. I have had an outburst on behalf of a waitress before, but it would have no upside to do it for my boss. Having to show humility to abusive people for short term financial gain is one reason I will never reach the top of my field.

And now A&M has canceled the rest of the semester, except for those of us online.

I have no f*(king idea where this puts me overall.

When you people (i.e., you and John Dule) indicate semester cancelled, you surely mean semester moved online, right? They can't possibly steal your limited time and the effort you already put in, right?

I've watched soccer and NASCAR in the last two days...I must be so seriously starved for entertainment that I found myself getting into both.  Going to try to watch some Aussie Rules Football this weekend (I remember enjoying it when it was the last sport still playing in March before it also stopped).

In fairness, I hadn't really given myself a chance to become a fan of either, and, since I like literally every sport I've ever watched, I guess it makes sense that I would enjoy them too.  It probably helped that I decided on rooting interests going in (even if I have no long-term emotional connection like I do with other sports).

But, give me football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and tennis (the sports I've watched for most of my life) any day of the week.  Six more weeks until team sports return!

I'm with you 100% though soccer has always kind of been a seventh sport for me (after lax - but far ahead of "professional" basketball lol). My radio station suddenly switched to NASCAR when I was going through Dover round bout two weeks ago. Nice day of ironic fun cheering for BUBBA and DiBenedetto, but no clue who they are and don't plan to intentionally tune in again.

Soccer is a pretty boring sport especially when anyone other than Napoli is playing (and I know if I wasn't a fan, I would find Napoli's game plan most boring of all), but it's easy to get to an intense level of Soccer Spergitude that rivals college athletics due to the tiering and constantly changing leagues. So I'm just going to embrace it and start streaming bottom half of the table match-ups too that destroy my afternoon productivity each and every day. - Plus I'll need to embrace it if America ever goes so far down the tubes that I need to escape back to my homeland.

In the interest of making sure I'm not broke in a few years, I've decided to start paying back student loan debt. The question: should I wait until after the election to see if the Dems move forward on SL forgiveness before I drop a metric ton of cash, trying to pay everything off ASAP?

I don't think it's bad to wait, especially such a short time, but this decision weighs on some intangible factors that vary from person-to-person. When AAD first started up, I recall King making the recommendation that it would be best to just make the minimum payments while keeping your savings invested in the market and you would come out ahead in the long-run, but this is pretty risky for most people especially if you are not confident that you will be employed at least at your current wage a year from now and even more so in a possibly lower-growth era. I don't envy your decision, but I don't think there is terrible harm in waiting a year even if I don't think the envisioned upside is highly probable.

I got my big break. Got a job offer at my local high school, and hell yes did I accept.

Congratulations, MD. I've known you've been pursuing this for a long while, so I'm glad you finally got the big break. Hope this is the start of a very fruitful career pursuing your passion. Great job sticking with it!

Smiley My least favorites go down. And the Serie B promotion match is between my two preferred clubs too. All is well.

I spent far too much time this AM arguing alone against the masses of my industry's anonymous app that it was immoral to ban people below the median wage from having children to no avail. The popular argument was that only they make enough to have the right to have children, but that by-and-large, they would not exercise that right because they would prefer to the additional disposable income and don't want it going to other people's kids. All while arguing that having children is selfish behavior! Gosh people are really awful....

In case you were wondering if opinions could be worse than some of the ones you see on here, I have finally received a resounding Yes.
