People acting like some candidates have already "missed their chance" by not announcing yet like.... the first primary is in 11 months. Not tomorrow.

I’m not sure how much exists beyond the vague platitidues we all heard during the campaign (which works when you’re running against an actual monster like Ted Cruz).

He’s a great public speaker but if he’s not deep enough on policy I’m not sure how he’ll break out.

I'm old enough to remember these kinds of attacks used against Obama in 2007/2008.

What disingenuous garbage. It wasn't until after the election that left wing journalists began to seriously dig into Beto's record and find out how awful he is (and were off course set upon by the corporate brigade of Tanden/Brock). TYT had to issue a video basically apologizing for not vetting Beto properly before interviewing him.

This is... weird, and doesn't give me much hope for the left wing movement if that's the case. "We were uninformed for the whole 20 months Beto was a candidate" is such a weird excuse, and it's not like policy positions and voting records are so hidden that "digging" is required. I dunno. Just feels like bad excuses.

One of the few worth supporting in the field, along with Mayor Pete and Warren.

His campaign rollout is on the 31st, no? I expect policy to start trickling down afterwards. Right now it looks like he’s just touring early states, getting his name out there and fundraising. People who are like “if he doesn’t have detailed policy proposals on every issue 300 days before the first primary he’s an empty suit” like... calm down.

There are already O'Rourke signs around campus, which is, frankly, amazing given how far we are from even the first primaries.

Same with mine.

Its happening.

Several of my friends who were big Sanders supporters back in 2016 appear to have been converted into being Beto supporters. Make of that what you will. Frankly, I was surprised by it.

Not too surprising based on how he handled the crowd at Penn State today and how they loved him.

Beto’s fundraising emails actually had a target of $50 per donor so it looks like they didn’t quite hit it.

He’d definitely visit Wisconsin and Michigan in the general.

The rally was on one street downtown, facing the border.  It wasn’t an open space.
