Only problem is, it is economic liberties that are really under attack... civil liberties less so, though the 'War on Terror' sideshow, the 'War on Liberties' makes me think otherwise.

Libertarians have a pretty backwards definition of economic liberties anyway.

This a perfect example of why I don't want to ally with Democrats.

Thing is, small-l libertarianism is quite common, but the 'Libertarian' Party is too anti-civil liberties (i.e. anti-immigration, pro life)

Lol, so many tolerant liberal Democrats posting in this thread.  Ridiculing people for their political ideology only gives the impression that you have a tiny dick and need to compensate.  Either that, or you cannot come up with a valid argument, so you just end any debate by declaring libertarians to be stupid and irrelevant.

Did you know that twenty percent of Americans can be described as libertarian (socially liberal, fiscally conservative)?  Meanwhile, just as many people describe themselves as liberal (socially/fiscally liberal).  Most libertarians though, are either independents or Republicans.

Stop acting like a bunch of twelve year olds.

This is what I feel like saying to them every day. Libertarianism is rising, and social democrat/liberal attempts to play it down will NOT work.
