Oklahoma largest swing towards Dukakis?

Was that due to farm belt woes?

yes and loyd bentsen.

the 1988 tennessee swing to bush is interesting.   i still dont know why reagan under-performed in tn in 84.

Does anyone know why D.C. swung Republican in 1988?

because reagan was extremely unpopular in the black community.
