i was reading this thread about the democratic  hopes in arkansas and all of a sudden i think i saw a pig flying outside my window, lol.

republicans have bigger shot at winning michigan than the dems have at arkansas.

kerry just isnt going to go over too well in dixie.

all southern states are firmly with bush.

hearing dems talking abut a southern strategy is just as crazy as hearing republicans talk about california.

the black vote makes southern states appear closer than they actually are.

bush may only be ahead in arkansas by 5 points, but that's still a pretty solid lead.  kerry is not going to do very well at all with white southern males (or females, for that matter)

im not saying democrats *cant* win in the south.  but id ont see kerry making a lot of inroads.
