Sounds like he's a telemarketer if he's making cold calls, the kind that call you trying to upsell you on services from a company that you already have service from.

im guessing his pay gets knocked down to a base of $7.25 if he doesnt sell.

It is lunch time and the day is going great.  We haven't done much yet today only going over the call flow.  We may shadow agents already on the  floor this afternoon.  This is easy money today.

Well yes, it is quite easy to not do anything.
He's just parroting glib comments from his sales manager. AT&T loves throwing money around. It's easy money today. And so forth.

^^^

bushie shouldnt be foolish enough to believe that any company likes to 'throw money around.'

Weren't you pretty close to being fired from there anyway though when you latched onto the Nigerian scam.

I don't think I would have lasted the rest of that year.

was your attendance bad there too?

He answered this already.

bushie, does your new job require you to clock out to go to the bathroom?

I have to go in a different code on the phones, but I still get paid for it.

his company used to have a policy that stated you had to clock out before going to the bathroom.

I had the pay explained to me this way, and this should answer the legality that J-Mann brought up.  The base is $8.00/hr, but with an automatic $2.00/hr bonus if you work between 38-40 hours during the week.  If you miss between 2-10 hours, the bonus drops to $1.00/hr extra and there is no bonus if you miss more than 10 hours in the week.  On top of the attendance bonus are sales bonuses that can add up to as much as an additional $6.00/hr for the entire pay period.  So, as long as I show up everyday, I am guaranteed $10.00/hr, but could make up to $16.00/hr.  That's not including all the sales games they have.  AT&T likes to throw money around.

so bushie is now making $8?

Sounds like $9. $8/hr is for less than 30 hours a week and one day will only be 32.

if i were a gambling man, id say bushie makes it less than 30 this week.
