I assume Lamb's support was supposed to be more regionally concentrated than Fetterman, which would mean...fairly comfortable win looking likely?

I would guess.  I do think it's interesting that...oh, I'm sorry, I can't remember the user...posted about an anecdote wherein a Fetterman voter switched to Lamb due to the former's health issues.  

I also know at least two Fetterman voters (husband and wife) who voted Lamb because they were concerned about his ability to handle the rigors of a U.S. Senate job, but of course this is TOTALLY anecdotal and non-scientific.  

Might've been me you were thinking of haha. Anyway, yeah, I figured Lamb's support would be more regional than Fetterman's. It's still early on, but I think Lamb will carry a couple of counties out west, maybe Greene, Fayette, or Beaver considering they were in his old and/or current district.

Well Fetterman is also from the west.

It stands to reason that McCormick would do much better with the early votes whereas Barnette would do much worse which explains the current results

Which just means this election will be a mess.

Honestly, it doesn't look like a Barnette win is happening tonight. She's not doing strong enough with EDay votes.

Really hope you're wrong as a Barnette candidacy is the only way Fetterman can win.

Oz is under water with Republicans. Barnette will also likely go on the offensive against him as the GOP nominee. He is a phony. I am not as worried about Oz’s candidacy as others are.

Imagine what his favorability rating with independents is if he can't even hold his head above water with his own party. I'm eager to see a poll.

Both are objectively terrible candidates with their own weaknesses (for instance, Barnette's insanity makes up for her I-actually-live-in-the-state advantage over Oz).

I did not expect for Lamb to get destroyed to this extent everywhere other than Pittsburgh and Philly. It's like everyone but Fetterman forgot to campaign in these areas.

On another note you can really see how Trumpy NEPA is.

Does anyone have the numbers of overall turnout in previous PA primaries where there were federal races involved? I’m interested to compare the party turnaround

2016 Senate

Democratic: 1,575,922 (54.0%)
Republican: 1,342,941 (46.0%) (unopposed)

2018 Senate

Democratic: 752,008 (52.2%) (unopposed)
Republican: 687,430 (47.8%)

I'd have to look back further though for when both sides had competitive primaries. Even this year, it's not total apples to apples because Shapiro was unopposed

2022 Senate

Republican: 1,319,452 (52.6%)
Democratic: 1,186,333 (47.4%)

Not bad for the Dems since they had a relatively non-competitive Senate primary and no Gubernatorial primary while the GOP had a complete clown car in both.
