REPUBLICANS MOVE SPECIAL ELECTION DATES!

Republican legislators have moved the special election dates for AZ-08, TX-27, and OH-12 to coincide with the midterms. It is expected that the real reason is to avoid the Democratic rage turnout that has swung a lot of other races to them such as KS-04.

DEMOCRATS: TRUMP GOVERNMENT INEXPERIENCE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEATHS!

March 13, 2018

AFGHANISTAN WITHDRAWAL BEHIND SCHEDULE!

The US Afghanistan withdrawal is reportedly running far behind schedule. Only 2,000 non-military personnel have been evacuated, with 1,000 troops and around 15,000 American civilians remain as the Taliban has captured most of the country. President Trump has said everyone will be out by April 31.

BREAKING: CHAOS IN THE WHITE HOUSE!

CNN has received news that the White House is currently in chaos. A leaked report shows the President Trump is mad at Defense Secretary Stefanik for 'screwing up the withdrawal' but is keeping her on as firing her would make the situation worse. One person he is thinking about firing is special consul Robert Mueller, who has been investigating him for the majority of his presidency.

April 6, 2018

EVACUATION FLIGHTS DELAYED DUE TO OVERCROWDING!

Flights evacuating U.S. citizens and allies from Kabul were delayed for several hours today as the number of people crowding the airport stopped planes from taking off. Flights have now resumed with 6,000 out of roughly 15,000 non-military American citizens evacuated. The Taliban has been letting Americans from outside Kabul get in and to the airport, and have held off on entering Kabul proper. It is expected they will continue to do so until the April 30 withdrawal deadline.

April 11, 2018

A last-minute ramping up of flights out of Kabul airport was ordered by the Pentagon earlier this morning. Taliban forces have already retaken most of the city, although they have left the airport alone.

April 30, 2018

TROOPS CAPTURED IN LAST-MINUTE EVACUATION!

Approximately ten marines and five soldiers were captured by the Taliban after firing at them when they tried to enter the airport, where two final Boeing 737-700 aircraft were taking off. It took an emergency US helicopter operation to rescue them. This does not include the seventeen members of the armed forced who were killed since late last night. President Trump's approval rating has slid to 31%, per recent polling.

TWO AMERICAS- HEALTH CARE IN RED STATES AND BLUE STATES

Despite the much-publicized Obamacare repeal, most blue states won't feel any hurt. States which have already opted to expand Medicaid were able to continue receiving federal subsidies just like before. Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, Maine (over gubernatorial veto), New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, Minnesota, California, Hawaii, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington and of course Massachusetts have implemented health care reforms similar to the MA one in 2006. The uninsured rate in those states has actually gone down by an average of 15% over the last year while costs have plateaued due to provision in these states allowing the state governments to negotiate with manufacturers for prescriptions.

The DOJ sued these states for taking advantage of the bill, which was conveniently worded to be non specific on these issues. The loophole was closed although the states got to keep their systems. The Supreme Court ruled 5-4, which has prompted anger among conservatives and demands that Congress and the White House pack the courts.

In the red states, things are going less well. Arkansas, Indiana, and West Virginia have already gotten rid of their medicaid expansions, with Governor Bevin about to sign similar legislation in Kentucky, which will likely make his 28% approval rating fall further. Costs are rising, and over 10,000,000 will lose insurance before the year is out.

BARACK OBAMA TO CAMPAIGN FOR MIDTERM CANDIDATES!

Fmr. President Barack Obama, who has seen the number of those with positive opinions of him rise to nearly 70%, will be campaigning for Democrats in the midterms. He will be focusing his appearances on cities for statewide races and suburbs for house races, as his presence in rural areas would likely still be a net negative to the candidate.

DEMOCRATS SLAM TRUMP BUDGET AS 'GIVEAWAY TO THE RICH'

Democrats in Congress have proposed assailed the Trump budget as a giveaway to the rich. The legislation is expected to pass the House easily but will run in to multiple hurdles in the Senate where Democrats need only one Republican to vote in favor. Democrats mentioned the Social Security cuts, despite Republican assurances they would be top-heavy in cuts.

June 5, 2018

SENATE TO CONSIDER NON-MODIFIED TRUMP BUDGET!

The U.S. Senate will consider a non-modified Trump budget in the near future. It is expected to face a Democratic filibuster into the ground unless Republicans can get the Senate Parliamentarian to give them another reconciliation chance. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who was allowed to stay in his position despite a larger number of Democrats through July 31, hopes to get it passed by then.

June 28, 2018

POLLING SHOWS TRUMP BUDGET DEEPLY UNPOPULAR!

The Trump budget, which would enact historic cuts in many departments, is deeply unpopular with the American people, with only 27% approving and 60% disapproving. The President's approval rating has improved somewhat from his post-Afghanistan low, holding steady at 31% approval 65% disapproval.

July 7, 2018

HOUSE PASSES UN-CHANGED TRUMP BUDGET!

The House has passed the Trump budget in its original form by a vote of 219-216. The reduced margin over the previous time may have to do with the unpopularity of the legislation among most Americans.

July 8, 2018

Even in an insane D wave, Democrats are not winning WV-2, or picking up five seats in the State Senate.

Also, I didn't say it earlier, but if the wave is as big as you are implying, Charlie Baker probably loses.

Look at the OTL results for that district.
