Considering the only country in the world that Castillo won was NORWAY, I think, that’s pretty good result for the Southern Cone. Hopefully Chile follows suit.
I'm surprised Castillo didn't won here. Of course i know nothing of the politics of peruvian emigrants, but i would have thought that, since we receive mainly poor inmigrants (unlike the US or europe), Castillo was favoured. I guess maybe we get lots of limeños, or perhaps many of the people who voted here were older inmigrants who came in the 80-90's and remember Sendero Luminoso? I probably i just looked at the vote of the bolivian community last year and wrongly assumed it would be similar in this case.
