Conservatism is a political ideology which holds that certain hierarchies within members of social groups are inevitable, natural, transcendental, and even good. Conservatives typically rely on appeals to some sort of tradition, are deferential to perceived authority figures, and are skeptical of changes to the existing social order. Conservative politics typically find support among the landed and propertied classes within a society, as well as business owners and merchants.

What if the current authority figures/current social order believe that hierarchies are bad/unnatural? What is the conservative position then?
