Last years (Not) State of the Union rebuttal was delivered by Tim Scott, which was not a bad choice.
They need republicans that can satisfy both Trump and the more establishment McConnell wing of the party. It won't be someone like Gaetz, but it also won't be someone like Kinzinger either.
I came up with some ideas for 2022, 2023, and 2024 of possible contenders.
I put it in this sub-forum as these typically help build traction for a presidential run.
- Ron DeSantis (if Trump doesn't throw a fit)
- Kristi Noem
- Glenn Youngkin
- Winsome Sears
- Rick Scott (lacks charisma but is friends with both Trump and McConnell)
- Elise Stefanik
- Greg Abbott
- Mehmet Oz
- Rand Paul
- Adam Laxalt (if he wins)
Any other possible contenders?
