On Saturday night, three years to the day after supporters of Donald Trump attacked the U.S. Capitol building, election objecting Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is the subject of an active police investigation into an alleged physical altercation with her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, at a restaurant in her district Saturday night.
...
According to the aide, on Saturday, Jayson Boebert had called the police to the Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt, claiming that he was a “victim of domestic violence.” The aide emphasized that Lauren Boebert denies any allegation of domestic violence on her part, and that the events as depicted in social media posts on Saturday were not accurate.

Every time I move to a new state it ends up in crazy elections

Don't take this personally, but please don't move to Georgia. Wink

Reading the story, this happened in 2022 so it probably won't be as impactful as if it was a new incident.

A Colorado State Patrol report details the arrest of Lynch, a Wellington Republican, on Sept. 30, 2022. He was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of driving while ability impaired. Lynch was sentenced to 18 months of probation, which is still active, with monitored sobriety.

He received a deferred sentence for the weapons charge but was barred from possessing firearms and ordered to complete a handgun safety course.

The party of Law and Order, right?

So just because people have done things wrong in the past, they have to be branded with a scarlet letter for the rest of their life? I guess now that dems have people like you in their coalition now, they have to drop the criminal justice reform part of their party now. Would explain why Trump passed a criminal justice reform bill while Biden hasn’t done Jack on it.

No. It's the fact that six of them raised their hands and seem very proud of it.

While being proud of it is weird, when employers and people like GeorgiaModerate see former prisoners as unable to redeem themselves, maybe a flippant attitude is justified.

This is a weird, and completely wrong, conclusion to draw from my post, which said absolutely nothing about the ability of former prisoners to redeem themselves (which is something I do believe in).
