Big win, Sean Casten is a great representative.

Big win, Sean Casten is a great representative. Also I think this is the first loss for an incumbent DSA congresswoman in a primary.

Newman is not a DSA member/politician.
Oh sorry I thought she was, given all the specualtion about her being part of the squad

Joy Hofmeister got the nod for OK-Gov.
She was literally a Republican until a year ago or something

Yep, she switched parties back in October.
As a statewide elected official, a baffling if brave move.

As soon as an Urban County is fully done counting and confirms a similar swing the race can be called for No.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it: I'VE SEEN ENOUGH!
It was an error, the county isn't fully in.

I’m stunned by these results so far , as this is far worse than I thought it would be

Tbh, I thought this was going to be fairly close until I saw that the amendment didn't even include exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. That's when I realized it was going to go down in a landslide (thankfully).
The amendment wasn't actualy a straightforward directly ban abortion law, it would just remove the protection granted to it by the Kansas supreme court and allow the legislature to pass their own law.

I expect Kent's campaign to be essentially dead in the water either way, as Democrats and Indies fall behind JHB as a "lesser of two evils" kind of choice.
A democrat is leading, the JHB and Kent race is for second place

Liam Madden (R who was called as the winner of the primary for Vermont's House seat) may be the single most atypical Republican candidate running anywhere in the country. Even for Vermont, he's something else.

Also Vermont LG is absolutely a tossup and Republicans have a very good shot of winning it.
Yeah weird as hell, seems to be a pretty typical left-wing anti democrat party type.

Being anti-war and skeptical of corporate control of communications and medicine are now definitively Republican stances. But my guess is he ran in the primary he was more likely to win.
Could have fooled me.
