If Ossoff and Warnock both won, who would be the senior senator?
Ossoff will because of his last name, per seniority tiebreakers. (This is the final tiebreaker of 7)

(DC too... but that’ll be struck down as unconstitutional)
Only if Democrats are stupid in how they go about it. There's a pretty simple way to do it constitutionally:
1. Contract the capital district down to the national Mall area, where nobody lives.
2. Admit the remainder of the old capital district as a new state.
3. Assign the electors of the new (unpopulated) capital district to the winner of the national popular vote.

Is there another runoff six months later if the results are within a point of each other? I feel like I saw that somewhere or something like that?
You got pranked my dude.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but Warnock vs Loeffler is a special election and whoever wins is up again in two years, and Ossoff vs Perdue is for a full term?

Sorry, i've just not been following the race.

Perdue got a slight lead according to CNN.
Wait for more of Fulton and DeKalb to report. Red mirage.

Does anyone have Woodbury's post pledging to leave the forum for a year saved if Ossoff OR Warnock won? Because now that's already happened, doesn't even matter in the unlikely event Ossoff loses.
Inb4 that was a XOR.

Assuming Ossoff wins, who will be the Junior Senator and who will be the Senior Senator? Forgive my ignorance.
Ossoff will.

Ugh hopefully Manchin uses his power to stop the left wing agenda and force a more centrist agenda to pass

Biden's agenda is already fairly centrist. It's like some Republicans forget who won the primaries.

Yah centrist compared to how far left the Democratic Party has become but it’s still much to the left of the Democratic Party circa 2015

2015? I really don't get the sense the party has moved all that left since then. Bernie lost twice, "The Squad" doesn't have any power within the party. The leftists may be loud but they are hardly pulling the strings of the party.

Yeah OSR doesn't have to worry. The policies of supporting the genocide in Yemen and letting people die because they can't afford insulin are safe with you.

On the night we win the Senate you really want to talk about how a Democrat Senate is just as bad as a Republican Senate.

Absolutely not. Alben Barkley was saying s***t that deserved a response.

He might just be an asshole and make me feel bad I ever defended him.
Alben Barkley is right about the true significance of the squad and the Left of the party. Sorry to say it, but it's true. If anything, I admire his brutal honesty.
Problem is I get the sense he'd like it to stay that way.

can we all appreciate the stupidity of Kemp appointing Loeffler for just a second?
Collins may well have lost anyway (he never struck me as a particularly strong candidate) but that was definitely an own goal.

Interesting.

So, there were 2 Republican Black Senators in MS about 150 years ago.

But their political positions back then are similar to today's Democrats.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely in favor of bringing back radical Reconstruction.
Mississippi was majority black back then, couldn't happen today even in a completely fair election unless white Mississippians became substantially more democratic.
