In retrospect, why did he lose it so badly in the primaries and to Rubio? It wasn't even Lyin' Ted or Hungry Kasich like other Midwestern States.

Caucus + educated, suburban GOP base. Most of rural Minnesota was ancestrally Dem and the ancestral R parts went for Rubio, like they did elsewhere. But unlike a primary, a caucus was perhaps enough work for the Obama-Trump types to skip it.
