Tulsi Gabbard runs for the nomination in 2024 and defeats Kamala Harris in a contested primary where the "moderate" delegates are split between Kamala, Pete Buttigieg, and (insert moderate Dem here). The Pieman, as a fervent supporter of Tulsi is selected from an online raffle to be her VP. They face Trump as the nominee who drops out and endorses Tulsi in a shock to the political pundits of the world. The GE is Tulsi v Pence v AOC who runs third party in an attempt to prevent Tulsi from winning. However she wins the absolute majority of the PV and the EC because of her crossover support with Trump supporters, leading to her winning the election. Two days before her inauguration, Tulsi is assassinated by a disgruntled left winger that claims that he did it because "Bernie can still win." Unfortunately, Bernie Sanders died of a heart attack the day before so unfortunately he cannot win
. Her VP, the Pieman, steps up to the plate and is sworn in as President of the United States the day after by Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. The Pieman selects Mayor of New York Andrew Yang to be his VP.
