I like the ALP more than I probably should. I can't see there being any election in which I would have preferenced the Liberals (or its sister parties and predecessors) above them.

Canadian politics is a more difficult subject. I suspect that would have been times, at least at a provincial level, in which I'd have voted Tory (although probably not the current incarnation of the past twenty years or so). The PCs were sometimes more progressive than conservative and there's also the issue of Liberal corruption to consider.
