Oddly, despite being members of the same conference, this is only the second meeting between Pitt and Wake Forest.  Pitt won the first, 34-13 in 2018.

That's not really odd. Pitt's only been in the ACC for a decade and cross-division games are rare.

Too bad the sh**tty ACC refs can't call a f***king hold to save their lives.

Pitt was losing 14-21 in the first quarter and is now winning 45-21.

My guess as to what the committee will do for the final playoff rankings:

1. Cincinnati (as the only unbeaten left, with the win over Notre Dame, Cincinnati will move up again. The question is whether they get #2 seed or the #1 seed.)

2. Michigan (The loss to Michigan State keeps Michigan from getting the 1 seed)

3. Georgia (Georgia has looked better all season than Alabama has, and ranks higher based on the season long eye test)

4. Alabama (Alabama finishes behind Georgia based on looking worse then Georgia in their wins, and because of their loss to Texas A&M)

It will almost certainly be Alabama at #1 and Cincinnati at #4. Georgia vs. Michigan could go either way, but they'll probably give Michigan #2.

Yep, Cincinnati will get sent to Alabama and lose by about 35.
Alabama couldn't even blow out some very mediocre teams.

Yeah, if anyone thinks yesterday was anything but "get illiterate Bryce a Heisman even though Pickett clearly deserves it more" and "help the SEC get two CFP teams" they are idiots and don't know anything about football. Alabama is absolutely not that good of a team.

Miami, which has not yet fired Manny Diaz, now has two head coaches and no athletic director

Assuming this is accurate, my guesses for the next head coach at Oregon:

UCLA Head Coach Chip Kelly

Stanford Head Coach David Shaw

BYU Head Coach Kalani Sitake

Baylor Head Coach Dave Aranda

Utah Head Coach Kyle Whittingham

Please refrain from making head coaching vacancy predictions if you're only going to name other head coaches at P5 programs who probably aren't going to leave.

I mean, it looks like the new HC at Temple is going to be Stan Drayton, the RB Coach at Texas. But if you had made a prediction, it would have been like:

Quote
Rod Carey has been fired. My guesses for the next head coach at Temple:

Rutgers Head Coach Greg Schiano

Penn State Head Coach James Franklin (long shot but possible)

Pittsburgh Head Coach Pat Narduzzi (ditto)

Army Head Coach Jeff Monken

Syracuse Head Coach Dino Babers

Of the list you thought I'd include for Temple...maybe only Monken and Babers would have made it (and probably only Babers).

I probably would have thrown in Dan Mullen and Manny Diaz (given he's about to be fired at Miami) instead.

Manny may do the ol' Miami Shuffle and head to FIU, who's currently in need of a head coach. Or he could just relax with his $8 million buyout.

This is the Trump-endorsed House candidate in WA-3.

Misses the mark. Unlike the Air Farce Academy, the sports programs for the two teams in this game are fully funded by boosters.

What we should be asking is why we are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for some of America's most useless individuals to LARP for four years. The "service" academies have outlived their purpose. And, look, while it's true that the US Military is the literal definition of a free jobs and welfare program, I don't generally begrudge the average person for taking advantage. But the "service" academies are the lowest of the low. Other than, like, defense contractors, students and graduates of these joke schools have stolen more money from their fellow Americans on an individual basis than anyone else walking around today. And that's just reprehensible.

Third place for Pickett is a f***ing travesty. Another Heisman for an illiterate plug and play Bama system QB surrounded by five stars who will probably wash out of the team for the next flavor of the month and will probably suck ass in the playoffs this year. Joke league.

Assuming the Gator Bowl isn't outright canceled (I think it will be), I'll switch my pick to Wake Forest.

Why wouldn't you just wait until the theoretical matchup is announced?

I don’t know how he does it but somehow convincing his team of things like this is what makes Saban the undisputed best. See also Bryce Young saying he’s been doubted all his life at the Heisman ceremony.

Alabama ought to be disrespected since they looked like crap all year until the SEC told Georgia to throw their game to ensure two SEC playoff teams. And Bryce Young has had his whole career handed to him on a silver platter, including his undeserved Heisman.

What a crushing loss for Pitt. It seems like Michigan State has a lot of games like this where they get a miracle last second interception/fumble to put the game away.

Pitt was already down to their third string quarterback for most of the game, yet they were in position to win there. I have no idea why Narduzzi didn't call a timeout to make sure Beville was ready. What exactly are you saving it for? Unfortunately a win is all that counts, but MSU definitely didn't win it through their own overwhelming talent.

Bryce Young continues to be probably the most overrated piece of sh**t to ever sniff a Heisman.

Well he's not needed. Saban figured out that Cinci couldn't stop the run making Bryce mostly irrelevant.

Another win for the football team that's, combined, read several books.

No, I really wish you had been right and I had been wrong.

Me too, but at the end of the day the team who spent the least time in class came out on top.

Terrible to see Alabama win, but glad to see the Pedos and Faux Irish go down in the same day! Now the Buckeyes just need to take care of business.

Will watch for Katy Perry video at halftime I guess. Blech

Whenever I say never bet against bama, I just have to remember how bad they were against Auburn, Florida, and to an extent LSU. I think the SEC championship was a fluke, UGA has this

I agree.

It was worse than a fluke - it was rigged.

Four field goals for Bama.

You didn't f***ing deserve the Heisman. And don't tell me it's because his top receivers are out. If he was depending on having top receivers, then he was not a Heisman caliber QB.

Perfect encapsulation of Alabama football. Dude who can barely read grabs a ball that bounced incomplete and it's inexplicably ruled a fumble recovery. F*** college football.

Alabama losing, especially in the NC, is responsible for some of the biggest moments of elation in my life as a sports fan. Amazing! And great Heisman performance from Bryce, lol.

ISTR some of you laughed at me for this:

I'm admittedly biased, but it would be hard to convince me right now that Georgia isn't the best team in the country.

I can't tell you how much this means to us long-suffering Georgia fans.  Not only winning the national championship, but to win it over the Evil Empire.  (And all this on top of the Braves' improbably World Series season!)

Congratulations to Donerail on winning the pick'em outright.  I'll post the final standings tomorrow.  I've never been so happy to lose a contest in my life.  Cheesy

Congrats on a great season! I do not like the SEC but I hate Alabama more than any other team (except the two I rail against on here all the time) so I'm happy to see a team get a long-time-coming victory against them.

And, I believe this proves my SECCG tank theory correct. I will now accept my accolades Wink

Assuming the Jim Harbaugh to the NFL story is accurate, my guesses as to the next head coach at Michigan:

Cincinnati Head Coach Luke Fickell
Baylor Head Coach Dave Aranda
Houston Head Coach Dana Holgorsen
Ole Miss Head Coach Lane Kiffin
Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll
Kentucky Head Coach Mark Stoops

There is NO chance Fickell goes to Michigan. Zero. Zip. None.

The College Football Playoff stays at 4 teams for the remainder of the current contract that lasts until the end of the 2025 college football season, meaning that CFP expansion will be revisited and could happen as soon as 2026.

Heather Dinich at ESPN.com:
Quote
After months of lengthy debates and multiple meetings about expansion, the College Football Playoff will remain at four teams through the end of its current 12-year contract, which expires following the 2025 season, CFP executive director Bill Hancock announced Friday.

By choosing to remain at four teams for four more years, the 10 FBS conferences and Notre Dame have forfeited roughly $450 million in potential revenue.

Terrible.

8-3 vote with the bitter bitches (Big 10, ACC, and Pac-12) voting No. It had to be unanimous. College football just can't get out of its own way.
The Rose Bowl is literally the most important game in college football other than Army-Navy.

Why are you such a bootlicker?
