I just don't understand how Biden's team failed to vet Bass, like, at all. How do you miss: Castro, Scientology, praise of the 1992 riots for burning liquor stores, & the Nation of Islam?

I'm so confused tbh

Whose to say he didn’t and now Harris is decided to leak it out anyway?

What motivation would she have? Harris is arguably the favorite, and Bass wasn’t even a factor a week ago, at least not until Dodd starting spewing his BS.

That would be the motivation.

To help Harris? Sorry, not sure if I understand.
To get back at Dodd I'm assuming.

Cali politics is brutal. I’m absolutely certain that Harris allies (not her) leaked all this stuff. And good. She wasn’t VP material and I’m glad it got aired out so we wouldn’t have to hear from certain people how Bass was the one that got away.
Better now than as a October surprise(s)

The destruction of Karen Bass is absolutely shameful. Especially when she went out of her way to praise Harris earlier. She's a good person. She didn't ask for this. Harris could have raised her concerns privately with the Biden team. Bass didn't have to be humiliated, assassinated, dragged through the mud in front of the entire nation. Her entire life of public service will now be remembered for this. I don't want Bass as VP, but this is just awful. How cold and heartless do you have to be do that to a person?
and you have proof Harris is behind this? 😐

What an upside down V-shaped ride Bass has been.

There’s just no way this stuff didn’t come up during the vetting. Either they were hoping to keep it hidden in the case she were selected, or they weren’t ever serious about her getting the nod and wanted to just throw another name out to the press.
This is making me doubt whether she was even a serious contender to begin with. So many skeketons. Goodness

Even more reason for me to feel sympathy for her. And we're not even sure how high up the list she was (If she was even on it at all or if Biden already made up his mind).

Of course, you're absolutely loving this. If only other non-Harris candidates had this type of public scrutiny
Don't tell me what I "love". You don't know me. I don't "love" seeing black women being torn down to advance anyone's agenda.

Exclusive: Kamala Harris leads Elizabeth Warren and Susan Rice in new VP poll

When asked to select their pick for Democrats’ vice presidential nomination in a standard poll, 31.9 percent of all respondents chose Harris, 26.8 percent chose Warren and 16.7 percent chose Rice — wide enough gaps to overcome the survey’s 4.1-point margin of error, according to FairVote. When the poll was broken out by party affiliation, Harris was the top choice for Democrats, leading Warren 36 to 26 percent. Warren, meanwhile, led among independents, garnering 28 percent support to Harris’s 23 percent.

When the final preferences of both Democratic and independent voters were counted in the ranked-choice survey, Harris emerged with 54.8 percent support, while Warren had 45.2 percent.

I can't find an article, but someone from Axios was on MSNBC this morning saying the final two were down to Harris and Rice.

Rice threw shade at Harris yesterday saying in an interview that she has no personal ambitions. Which I actually found a very tasteless and unseemly thing to do.

Then she should withdraw her name from consideration. 🙄

Why the Biden campaign would intentionally hand the Republicans a gift and relitigate the Benghazi affair is beyond me.

Quote
Her team acknowledges Republicans will trot out her early misstatements about the Benghazi attacks that were based on incomplete intelligence she'd been given, and she wants to defuse that by bringing it up herself.

Folks.... you don't say you're going to do ANYTHING "very soon" and then 3 to 5 days to get around to it. Unless he's doing it by the weekend use different wording. Otherwise, you look stupid.
Two emails from the campaign today, and one from the DSCC stressing the VP announcement. One mentioned a virtual event. Tomorow might be a bit soon, so I'd say the weekend.

maybe it was just a good picture lol.

I think it's entirely possible they just announce whoever it is via text, then send the email as follow up with the virtual event details etc.
