That’s an awfully funny way to say, “Corporations are people, my friend.” Is a corporation really a “private citizen” if it is publicly-traded, could have well over ten thousand individual shareholders, and has their day-to-day operations overseen by a board of directors elected by those shareholders to act in their interests? It’s almost as if corporations are not exactly the private property of any individual shareholder, but also are not controlled by the state as public entities. They fall somewhere in the middle.
