Since the old one was locked, and I'd prefer it not be started by a rape fic author anyway.

And what a shining example of love and tolerance you are.

AT LONG LAST, Season II is being broadcast in German. I just finished watching the translation of 'A Canterlot Wedding', which I had dvred this morning.
As to the translation itself... it's by far better than the previous season, and one can take it seriously now.

The new episode was...okay. Spike, Pinkie, and Twilight were great, and the animation has gotten even better. The villain was horribly dull though (especially compared to Discord), and they did a horrible job of explaining...anything about the Crystal Empire/King Sombra. Maybe it will get better with a second viewing; after all, our expectations after 6 ponyless months were far too high.

This. King Sombra seemed like a placeholder.

Can anyone recommend me a fanfiction? Background Pony is over, and Contraptionology and Ordo ab Chao look like they're wrapping up as well.

Other than Too Many Pinkie Pies, Season 3 has honestly not been on par with the past two seasons other than the animation.
^^ I agree with Snowstalker.

...So, did anyone else enter that "Equestrian Currency Contest" thingy?

Anyone watched The Littlest Pet Shop? I keep seeing promos for it on the episodes and toy promos with Friendship Is Magic, and it's got a lot of the same voice actresses. Is it any good?

I just watched the four episodes they have so far, and I quite liked them, particularly the fourth.

Hallelujah ! Finally I find this thread ! My home ! I'm still getting at the end of season 2 which I watch on Youtube where there are French subtitles, and so far it's pretty good though two or three episodes lacked a bit substance.

I'm so happy I'm not alone. My wife doesn't quite understand me on this... Sad

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
You didn't know about this thread? Damn, I guess I just kind of assumed... Please forgive all of us, Mr Zanas. We're sorry.

"I am the Princess of the Night. Thus, it is my duty to come into your dreams." -- anyone else notice the obvious problems with that? Cheesy

Fairly good episode; I tend to like these sorts of character studies. Apple Bloom Sweetie Belle is still my favorite Crusader, though.

I'm reporting basically every post in the last two pages.

Yeah... next time, please don't do that.  Just report posts that are actually against the Terms of Service.  This was freaking ridiculous to deal with.  Grow up, everybody.  If you don't like My Little Pony, don't post in the thread.  It's just that simple.

Was Al infracted too or Inks didn't want to risk his retaliation?

imo, Al's post was actually funny (he posted the Tesco's logo, right?)

The comics by the way are pretty good. Some guy brought them to work today. Very clever and a bit more mature than the cartoon, since the authors obviously know their audience is going to be adults. The plotline of the first series is about Queen Chrysalis returning and fillynapping the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and the mane six ponies out to rescue them.
Oh boy, did you really write "the mane six ponies" ? This is way too much, even from a fellow brony ! Tongue This makes me want to puke a little... Wink

Um, that's standard usage, actually.

I still didn't see this new episode after the mid-season break. What do you say we try to gather round our five favorite episodes, in order to have them to offer to people like Simfan who are willing to try the show but don't know where to start ? He only watched the very last issued, and it doesn't seem to be anyway near the best so far.
Lesson Zero, Hurricane Fluttershy, Too Many Pinkies, SSCS6K, Sonic Rainboom, Sweet and Elite.
To pick one for each mane-six pony.

…I am quite surprised that I couldn't find a pre-existing image.

So, who is more annoying, Pinkie Pie or the CMC's?

Is it so wrong that I like both?

If by "the CMC's" you mean "Sweetie Belle", then no. Tongue

What's everyone's thoughts on the Twilight Sparkle becoming an alicorn talk?

Considering how many awful scenarios the writers have managed to save already, I'm not worried. Smiley

Probably the worst implication.

Anyways, there were certainly things that could have been better (the above, for one, and also it really should have been two or three parts. Again.) but I feel there is going to be a deluge of any-change-is-bad-change type hatred, instead of focusing on the legitimate problems with the episode.

Legitimate problems? It was honestly too packed, which killed any tension or drama, and had far too many songs (I liked maybe 2 of them, honestly).
The songs are a matter of taste (I personally liked all except Celestia's) but I agree, if they had kept everything but split it into two episodes it would have been much better.

Er, no offence, but have you been watching the series at all?

Is it, though? I thought the series was about friendship being the highest ideal (wording is not ideal) I think the episode did a pretty good job of reinforcing that.

Not in itself a bad thing -- see Canterlot Wedding, Crystal Empire

Twilight Sparkle has always been portrayed as the "leader" of the group, and for good reason.

Were the Cutie Mark Crusaders "ruined" when they suddenly became majority earth-pony?

Never was (although that's taste again).
Merriwether: 1 bad episode (3|09), 3 average episodes (2|08, 2|11, 2|21), and 2 good episodes (2|19, 3|07)
Larson: 2 bad episodes (1|16, 2|10), 8 average episodes (1|10, 1|23, 2|04, 2|15, 2|20, 2|23, 3|13, 3|05), and 2 good episodes (2|01, 2|02)

And yes, I realise I'm taking all of this far too seriously.

Edit: Oh, and don't forget that this was supposedly the first part of a three-part episode. The implications are obvious.
