Definitely. I understand the whole “rugged individualism” mantra but Europe’s welfare programs are superior in the senses that A. It benefits everyone and B. Most Conservatives approve of them so it’s not like it’s “muh Socialism” and C. Nobody dares talk about privatization of them, although personally I prefer a mixed private/public model to most programs.
