The police are an outmoded institution and will someday soon - in the historical sense - be replaced by community policing between unofficiated individuals. This of course will incur vigilantism etc. at first, but more humane ways of social integration will be developed from that point out.

Tankie just say gulags or reeducation camps.

Lol

Like I said, the police are outmoded, whether in NKVD black or NYPD blue.

What do you mean by this?

That the problem is specialization. We are past the need for specialized law enforcement officers distinguished from their community by virtue of their position (just as we are past the need for most specialization).

The disappearance will begin to appear as vigilante-fueled anarchism, but will grow I to something more humane over time.

With all due respect I don't see it. The existence of police is correlated with higher levels of governmental organization which in turn tends to correlate with greater prosperity.

Except for those communities subject to aforesaid policing. And that's the problem.
