I would be a hypocrite if I panicked at this because I am now a firm believer that fundraising doesn't mean diddly-s*** anymore. But then again, maybe that's only true for Democrats because that's how things always tend to be.
Fundraising is a great asset but it can only do so much if not paired with genuine momentum for your own party or against the other. If there's a growing discomfort with the progressive excess of the current Democratic congress, and I think there is, then this will help Republicans a lot. If Republicans blow it and turn the whole 2022 cycle into another referendum on whether or not we should worship Donald Trump, then their fundraising money will mean a lot less.
