Among the Republicans who voted yes, I wonder what the breakdown is between those who genuinely support it, and those who recognize that opposing gay marriage in 2022 is a losing issue.

Murkowski, Portman and Collins probably in the former category. Maybe Capito and Romney too.

Lummis previously had an awful record in these kinds of issues, so she's probably in the latter category. Blunt and Ernst seem like they'd be too.




Capito is such an enigma. I will never understand.
