Single-digit M-D with a comfortable Biden lead in Duval isn't quite what I was expecting, but somehow makes perfect sense for the absolute state of 2020. Swing voting isn't dead after all...

With Muskegon County pretty much on a knife's edge tilting towards Trump for the whole reporting period, very curious about the final extent of the Mahoning Effect. No surprises here in Maryland, Biden breaks FredCo out of the Class of '64 as predicted in 2018 and puffs up a hair on the Eastern Shore, all expected stuff. Georgia is becoming a real nail-biter with so much from the metros and Sanford Bishop's country still outstanding.

Collins is a disappointment but not a surprise given how easily Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern Dems can be convinced to vote for Reps who know not to say the quiet part loud. Maybe I should've realized that once Larry Hogan started stumping for her.

What do we think of Nevada? It appears to be the closest state at the moment and has a way to go in the count and has been trending towards Trump in the count.

NYT results showing Trump with 45% in Clark. No way that holds in light of the numbers we see from elsewhere, as west of Texas the Hispanic vote for Dems doesn't seem to be cratering like it did in Miami-Dade or the RGV.

*rolls out 55 gallon drum of lotion*

It’s gettin’ real.

I just wanna say, as a gay man, I'm looking forward to future updates.

Fellow gays represent!

Atlas baybee! I got here the year I realized I was gay and this was the first place where I really knew a significant amount of LGBT people.

I’m here, I’m gay (albeit with a bi-cycle) and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

At this point, I would like all the forum gays to identify themselves.

Reporting for duty!

Bucks Co: Biden +2016, Trump +897 per CNN.

Between this and the Gila County dump where Trump got 1,488 votes I'm convinced the chaos magicians have been working hard on this election for all the numerology.

Trump has doubled his share of LGBTQ voters since 2016. Can someone explain this?

Pink capitalism, homonationalism, other means of lip service that fuel the subsumption of queerness into normativity through palatable conservative figures waving the "gay" card.

One thing I didn’t realize until recently is that Bush won Dallas County in both 2000 and 2004. I know he’s from the state and everything, but I always assumed it was a longtime D county or at least one that flipped with Clinton like Clark or Miami-Dade.

What is astonishing is that Bush won Travis County (Austin) in 2000; this has always been a generally Democratic County, and it goes to show how powerful the native son effect was in Texas. Dallas and Houston, by contrast, were some of the more Republican areas of Texas for most of the second half of the 20th Century.

Nader got 10.4% in Travis, making it among his top 20 counties nationwide, and even in two-way races the county didn't return to giving Dems more than 60% as in the Solid South days until 2008, but Bush's 46.9% in the county in 2000 is still massive by contemporary standards.

The massive shifts under the hood in Illinois are quite stark, and a strong microcosm of the national movement.
