I'd actually like to know what's the difference between Sarkozy's and Bayrou's views.
Do they differ in their economic views? their views regarding the relations between France and the US?
Anyway, I'll probably would have voted for Sarkozy as the main right-wing candidate (who happans not to be a racist), his Hungarian roots are also a bonus.

Bayrou is againts the return of France in the NATO, but I certainly don't think he's anti-american. About economics, he's at the right-wing but criticized many governmental economical policies like the "bouclier fiscal". In synthesis, I think he's a real centrist, and for many issue he's near the PS's position. Personnally, i'd give this score in political matrix : E +1, S -3
