Because the candidates have largely occupied the ideological, political, and trajectory space symbolic of many vying for the 2020 Democratic nomination and party leadership.

Letitia James is a popular NYC pol, supported by Gov. Cuomo and NYS Dems

Zephyr Teachout, Fordham Law prof and former candidate for Gov and Congress, running on very anti-Cuomo anti-establishment platform

Sean Patrick Maloney, Congressman, running on a relatively moderate Congressional platform and tough lawyer persona

Leecia Eve, Buffalo-area lawyer and former top aide to numerous pols including Biden and Hillary, running as the outsider-insider.

Lol wait there's someone on this thread who supported Roy Moore?

Even before it was revealed that he abused teenage girls, he is extremely anti-gay and anti-Muslim and thus a despicable low-quality human being.
