Across the Atlantic, the danish prime minister has just announced that starting in the middle of next week Denmark will start a very slow and very gradual reopening of society. On the other hand she also announced that large gatherings are prohibited until at least august so all music festivals are cancelled.  The first part of the opening regards child daycare, kindergartens and the smallest schoolchildren. The reasoning behind this is that small kids are the most safe from the virus and that care of smaller children will allow for some parents to return to work where it is safe.

I am a high scool teacher and we will continue to do online teaching until at least may 10th and realistically for the rest of the school year. Exams will happen for seniors, but the circumstances are yet to be decided.

The 60k death estimate seems crazily optimistic. The count is already at almost 40k with roughly 2k new deaths a day. There’s no way that the daily death toll will drop quickly enough to get a final count if around 60k.
