Arizona is the real MVP of the election. Even with all the disappointments we can take solace that AZ is comfortably in the Democratic column. One of the states where #trends are very real.

I'm still pessimistic about GA but it should clearly swing D, showing that the trends are indeed real and it continues to be competitive.

Not only is it Biden’s home state but it’s also the “first state” as in the first to join the Union.

Yeah Obama won the tipping point state by 5.4%, Biden has won it by just 0.6%. Sadly, in the American system that's what matters.

The fact that in both 2012 and 2008 the tipping point state was Colorado feels very weird looking back at it. Colorado didn’t really feel like a crucial battleground either time, more emphasis was placed on OH, FL, VA and PA.

One thing I didn’t realize until recently is that Bush won Dallas County in both 2000 and 2004. I know he’s from the state and everything, but I always assumed it was a longtime D county or at least one that flipped with Clinton like Clark or Miami-Dade.
