No.  I have some friends who are very liberal.

Political beliefs are a part of who we are, but only a part.  I would never decline to befriend a person that I would otherwise like for political reasons.

On the other hand, I would probably be less likely to like a person who was abrasively and aggressively liberal.  But that's not a litmus test.

Note that if someone is wearing a Che shirt, it almost certainly means he or she is a complete douchebag, so it's not really politics that is the problem... their obvious stupidity and immaturity is the problem.

That is pretty much true.
