There were two rumors about how Huntsman got votes. One was supporters were bussed. Another is that he paid people off.

This poll does tell us that Pawlenty is still not getting traction. Bachmann is.

Romney may be playing the roll of the hare. If so, who is the tortoise?

Again, neither Pawlenty nor Romney even showed up to this thing, whereas most of the other candidates did.

I don't think this means much of anything.  I don't think there are any straw polls worth paying any attention to until Ames.


While true that it is an early poll, he should have gotten more votes. He barely got anything. I didn't bag on Romney's number for that very reason. 1% is way too small, though. That's Gary Johnson/ Buddy Roemer territory.

And Romney isn't some unknown one-term Governor many years ago. You can deny a lot to him, but not lack of recognition.

I was not talking about Romney. I was talking about Pawlenty.
