The biggest barrier to any Democrat running in 2024 if Joe Biden does stand down or in 2028 will be can any democrat defeat Kamala Harris with the black vote. It's a major problem for Whitmer and why she might not run because Harris despite being a really, really bad politician and ineffective communicator she does have the vice presidency and democratic donar class behind her. So I say unfortunately no.
If Harris was the nominee the defeat would be catastrophic
