Why did the Dixville Notch Presidential Primary results collapse so dramatically from 2008?

(17) people voted in Dixville Notch in the NH '08 Primary, and now we are down to (5) total voters in 2020?

Fraud I call.... is Russia now hacking our first early voting from NH.... Wink

The hotel resort in town closed and has been in "renovations" - but I'm not sure whether that happened before or after 2008.

Interactive map of the NH Republican Primary results, including heatmaps of vote cast for Democrats on the Republican ballot under the NH Minor/WI tab in the Menu, as of last night.

Are write-ins generally stronger along the Connecticut River?

Among other places. It's pretty much correlated with college towns and the general anti-Trump vote:

That Sanders didn't do better in NH-02, especially the Grafton and Sullivan County parts that are in his home TV market, is a bit odd. It doesn't speak quite as poorly of him as Warren ending up trailing her statewide percent in the Boston Exurban border towns, but it's not a great look.
