They'd trade desert to Jordan for two Red Sea islands from Egypt. It's Egypt who seemingly gets nothing - unless they want Gaza back (and I doubt they would).

Jordan has its own issues with Palestinians. They might favor such a trade. It’s the Egypt part that I don’t understand.
