It has generally not been my approach, that one tends to find long term or effective solution through abrupt or disruptive actions. One did not see much in the way of positive improvement in the immediately aftermath of the Kansas Crisis for example, though it did certainly shift the political landscape and provoke some needed reforms to curb executive power and overreach.

On the contrary, it is my contention that it is necessary to have a positive proscription for the future action in order to materially improve the situation or place the game back on a sound footing. These measures have included maintaining regionally playable paths rather than allowing them to be curtailed by the Federal Government. At the same time, one can easily note that excesses of regionalism can also curtail playability.

If one is to seek and desire a path that restores and preserves a balance of playability, than we are open to working with any and all who come to table with positive ideas. On the other hand, when it comes to excesses that harm gameplay, it is my inclination to be firm. The memories of last year in this regards are certainly on mine when it comes to this question, but I am aware of the tendency towards over reacting in the opposite direction. Matching the extremes of centralism with the extremes of separatism.

The central government has naturally gone too far in many instances, and this party has for its decade of existence sought to preserve the balance and fight back against the excesses, even with an incredibly stacked deck against us until very recently. On the contrary, considering the amount of damage one has to unbury from, that we have come so far in the past seven months is astounding and it is my hope that this party will one again emerge victorious in February to continue that progress towards more robust regions and empowered individuals.

I wish to bid you welcome to Miami and lets have a productive and successful convention!

Time to start getting paper work in for February offices. Make sure you declare in both places (here and the candidate declaration thread).

Not a Federalist, but upon transition, you should look at Nuuk, Greenland!

Will the transition be completed before June?

It would be an interesting location, though I would prefer we not vote for such until it is nailed down. Perhaps October.

I am going to do a separate process for Lincoln nominations once this present process is wrapped up.

I am going to give until midnight for any final city nominations and then proceed to a vote on this present matter.

Yes, I know Fudd's nomination of Cleveland is invalid but I hurt too bad to care right now. Consider this my offering on his behalf.

Nuuk tho

My concerns were stated on the previous page, regarding how fast this would be settled in terms of the timeline for the vote. Also we just held the convention in the South, thus it would be a better option for June or October.

I am going to leave the city vote calculation for others. It won't be needed until June anyway.
