Tsar NeverAgain, Emperor and Autocrat of all the People's Representatives!

Command on Conquer has got nothing on this fusion of Tsarism and Soviet theme.

I guess I have to go back and kill Albert Einstein, if I am to live up to my command and conquer legacy.

What are these nucler things you keep talking about? Never heard of them.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is time for a new day in the People's House of Representatives. From this day forward we are going to commit ourselves to serving the people and serving as their voice in this government, as this body was intended to be from its conception. You cannot do that sitting on your a@% or laying on your back!

We going to have constant, uninterrupted progress on all bills. I do not ever want to here that we are holding our ground, let the Senate do that. We are advancing constantly, we are advancing all the time!

Bill threads will be updated every day either by me or by a Deputy Speaker.

All activity will be tracked on the Noticeboard and the press encouraged to monitor the activity of the People's Representatives.

All amendments will be tracked and none will be missed or forgotten.

We will hold regular town halls so that the people can find out, "what the hell is going on".

All Activity in the House (votes, amendments, bills brought up), will be included in a daily PM to all members of the House. Sponsors will be expected to post an advocacy for their bills in the first 24 hours of debate, unless on leave, or I will motion to table. Continued failure beyond that point to post, will result in a second being forthcoming and the bill being canned.

We will not work as an independent rogue entity. We will function as a unit within the Congress and that means I will communicate, collaborate and compromise with the Senate PPT and Vice President to ensure both chambers are advancing and that Congress as a whole is functional.

Their will be no failure, no mediocrity, no acceptance of reduced expectations in the administration of this House. There will be no sitting for two weeks and then saying "well time to dive into the House and figure out that mess". Administering a legislative chamber is both and honor and a sacrifice. It means being responsible for ensuring that the other members can express their voice, the voice of the people. Failure to successfully administer either the House or the Senate, silences the voice of the people or of the regions, and we cannot accept that anymore.

I am running to be "the People's" Speaker of The People's House of Representatives.

In the fifth congress, we passed 21 bills, and failed seven. We also had about 30 amendments. These are tremendous increases over the Fourth Congress, but there is a ways to go yet in terms of the discourse, debate and involvement by all the members, but I would be honored to lead the House in completing its turnaround. When the house collapses from an administrative standpoint, everyone loses. Most importantly, the people lose. When the House succeeds from an administrative standpoint, then all members have the ability to provide a voice to the people and represent them in Congress.

Therefore, to ensure that every member has the opportunity to best serve the people, I am declaring for another term as Speaker of the People's House of Representatives.

Ah. I'll open up the ballot at 1. Expect a party-line vote and Yankee to win re-elex. Tongue

I was about to start thrashing Scott Bakula in here. Tongue

I would note this method will require the two of you to scalp up 3 more seconds.

Work gets rather heavy leading into the Christmas season and until I can judge how that impacts me physically through the slow build up next month, I cannot make any judgments beyond this present term.

Bumping this so I don't forget in a few hours.
Declarations start at 1, I'm not running, etc.

Could we get some clarity as to the time lengths for declarations and then the voting to avoid the confusion of last time?

Alright. How does 48 hours sound?

I would prefer 24 hours for declarations, 48 hours for votes (With the option of ending it early once a majority is acquired). That way we don't lose more than 3 days.
