Discuss with maps how you think Biden would do if he chose Kyrsten Sinema as his VP. With two moderate Dems, do you think it could potentially be a blowout?

👏👏👏👏👏👏

Ask Clinton/Kaine how that turned out.

This is idiotic on multiple levels.

Not that I expect much from you, but still.

Kaine was quite possibly the worst and most bland VP choice possible for Hillary. He did absolutely nothing to broaden her appeal. Unless she was still operating under the assumption that Virginia was a critical swing state, but even then it was still a weak choice.

Sinema, on the other hand, is basically Biden's opposite in that she is young, female, and Western. She is also a WAY more charismatic politician in her own right than Kaine. She would likely tip an actual swing state -- Arizona (where she has a sky high approval rating) -- over the edge and she would provide much-needed demographic balance to a ticket with an old white man from Delaware at the top.

One could argue that she is too "moderate" or "centrist" or whatever, but she has lefty cred in that she is openly bisexual and she used to be a member of the Green Party.

From a pure pragmatic standpoint, I honestly believe she would be a fantastic running mate for Joe. He would get a boost in Arizona (where according to some polls he's already leading) and likely would get a general boost across the nation from many progressives (maybe not you, but fortunately you don't even represent a significant share of the niche progressive voting bloc) who would be excited to have an LGBT woman on the ticket. Who nonetheless has proven that she does not alienate centrists and moderates!

I really don't see how it could go wrong, except that we'd be giving up a reliable Senate seat in Arizona -- but even that is mitigated by the fact that Arizona has a law requiring outgoing Senators be replaced by a member of the same party.
