absolutely.

and Crean should be put back in-he is a familiar, boring face like Howard, and I think to beat the rat the ALP must provide something at least a little similar.

BTW, Liberal Party internal polling showed that whilst Crean would've lost the election also, it would have been a lot closer and the senate might'nt have swung.
