Obama's actually going to get a bit of a boost from this, if we want to look at this in political terms.  It WAS going to be 55-44.  Probably 56.5-42.5 now.

Oh, and no reports at all of looting... further proving NJ is about 10,000x more awesome than we are given credit for.

No, it won't. Incumbents are always almost hurt for acts of God. As for the percentages, please, please tell me those are for NJ and not for the US.

What made you think those are national numbers?  Of course it's NJ.  And they love Christie down the shore... his endorsement of the Obama administration's disaster response is enough to move a few people... this state is 50% independent.

They're a lot of hacks about.

I think I would understand a great deal more about NJ politics than yourself, sir.

And what makes you say that?

my near constant study, formal and informal, of the subject for nearly a decade.

As much as anything, Christie's praise of Obama's handling of the storm neutralizes any possible attempt by the Republicans and/or FOX News, etc, to attack Obama for his handling of the storm. Which, presumably, is something they'd be ready to do if they had the slightest basis for doing it.

Not the GOP per se... but that one would certainly be farmed out to Fox News for the weekend+Monday.

Or it could be proving that you have nothing worth looting. Grin

Our disgusting malls have plenty of overpriced goods to swipe... maybe we should have descended into anarchy for a day.... I wish an angry mob would clean out the Cherry Hill Mall.  Not so much in the name of social justice... more because I just hate that place.

Why does everything have to have a political framework?  He seems tired as hell and stressed out with what's going on there, to think his praising of Obama was anything other than genuine appreciation in that horrible situation is absurd.

This. And nothing but this.

The fact that people are even relating this to politics is rather sickening.

This is the 2012 board... the shallowness and constant relation to politics is assumed.  Surely you must have expected this if you've spent more than 5 minutes here.  I merely tried to guide this inevitably in a somewhat palatable direction.
