You know the modern Olympic torch relay began with the 1936 Berlin Olympics as a glorification of the Third Reich.

So did most other Olympic traditions (such as the five rings).

That's what I thought but when I looked it up it said the rings were designed in 1913 but only became popularised in 1936.

Oh and just in response to the title of the thread; the torch is not coming to where I live because it's already been here Wink.
