lmao

#GOPHandmaidsTale is preaching to the choir if I ever saw it.

That’s precisely the point. What’s even crazier is that the personhood laws being passed are no more popular than a ban on interracial marriage. Gallup has such a law at 3% and for this one, like six or 7%. At least according to the last BBC poll that had Biden at 39.

What specifically are the personhood laws being passed?  Where can I find these polls?

There aren’t gonna be checks by cops just cause someone is pregnant. Saying  so is absolutely ridiculous

They are already compiling medical records so that they will know who is pregnant. Maybe you right. Maybe it will be "just like weed" but these absolute zero tolerance laws are about as popular as laws making it to be interracially married or gay. That doesn't stop 20 states from having them.

"They are already compiling medical records"
Who is "They" ?

21 states will have a total ban on all abortions when Dobbs is published.
Missouri Department of Health and Planned Parenthood.
NBC. Gallup.

States having a ban on abortion does not mean cops will stop pregnant women at the state border.

Many states have bans on fireworks for unlicensed users. Do police routinely stop people at the state border to make sure people aren't going to next the state to buy them?

I think abortion is a little bit different from fireworks, don’t you think? Unless these people really don’t mind people getting abortions and that they just don’t want to live near an abortion clinic.

How about guns then instead of fireworks?

Is there any precedent at all here for this hypothetical enforcement, with any kind of law, for something that is legal in one state and not in another?

Drugs?

This. It will take you about 90 seconds doing an internet search to find many news stories of places like Nebraska which aggressively Patrol and seek to interdict people coming from Colorado with weed legally purchased there.

Are they interdicting people going from Nebraska to Colorado before they have purchased drugs based just on a determination of intent?  That would be the analogy with the video.

So don't tell me that the government isn't willing or capable of setting up intrusive 'just in case' checkpoints at state lines.
The Republican playbook nowadays is "tell them it won't happen" and then say "it isn't a big deal" when it happpens. They'll DEFINITELY keep telling you it won't happen, right up until it happens.

Yep.

That's how the after Barrett was confirmed the Supreme Court got rid of Obamacare and helped Trump steal the election. And the internet doesn't work anymore because Net Neutrality is gone.

Give it time, Young right-wing hack Padawan

Time for what?  Sheldon Whitehouse never said we'd have to wait for this stuff.

This is from AG Marshall's court filing (emphasis added).
https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23932753-yellowhammer-fund-et-al-v-steve-marshall-and-west-alabama-womens-center-et-al-v-steve-marshall

Quote
At the onset, it is important to state the obvious: Ala. Code § 13A-4-4 does
not forbid a woman from leaving the state to obtain an abortion
, which Plaintiffs
recognize in their complaints,see doc. 1 ¶ 18; doc. 23 ¶ 5. Plaintiffs’ theory is instead
that without their “information, counseling, and support” in finding available outof-state abortions, a pregnant woman’s right to travel would be unconstitutionally
burdened. E.g., doc. 23 ¶ 66
