How much vote is outstanding in PA now? Did Philly report? Is PA pretty much a done thing for Biden like we thought 8 hours ago when I went to bed?

What about Arizona. Any way that that is slipping from Biden?
175k ballots left in PA, 58k from Philly and 36k from Allegheny (those will be counted tomorrow)
OK, so basically PA should be safe for Biden by now?

Nate Silver said as much and based on the numbers, I agree.

Funny how PA was the state people were arguably dooming the most about, but in the end might be Biden’s best or second-best of the “big three.” Hell there were people who thought AZ, GA, NC, and FL would vote to the left of PA. Sure doesn’t look like it.

If it’s not about being gay or something else Trump has on him, how do you explain how Lindsey Graham went from this...

...To being the only major Republican who has implicitly endorsed an illegal coup among state legislators to elect Trump against the will of the people.

What the f—k happened???

I can’t believe I’m saying it, but Mitch McConnell is better than Lindsey Graham. I hoped against hope that after win ing another 6 years, Lindsey would moderate himself again. Instead he is as far as I know now the ONLY major GOP figure who has implicitly endorsed ignoring the vote and letting state legislatures pick alternative Republican electors. Mitch wasn’t having that s—t, just said all the votes need to be counted.

I know people joke a lot about Graham being gay, but I genuinely suspect Trump has some sort of psychosexual hold on him.

I know there are apparently many gay people here based on earlier in the thread. I don’t want to offend anybody but for those of you who are gay and/or have ties to the gay community:

1. What does your gaydar say about Graham indeed being gay?

2. Do you think this is sufficient to explain the change we have seen in his behavior for the past few years?

I mean, if you are gay you should know better than anybody how perceptions of being gay have shifted since Obergefell, and how likely it is that someone would go out of their way to betray everything they ostensibly believe in to avoid being outed.

Graham "pings" in my opinion. If I saw him out and about, I'd think him more likely gay than not.

That said, I don't know his personal situation well enough to say whether it is sufficient to explain his recent behavior. I'll tell you this — I grew up in a small town where alcohol was still illegal until just ten years ago... I was terrified of being outted back then. I would have wound up dead in a ditch somewhere.

So, I don't know Graham's particular situation. If he were outted, his career would be over, but I imagine, given the power of his position, that he'd be in a lot safer place than I was. But who knows?

Would it really be over though? I mean he’s just won another 6 years. What is SC gonna do, recall him somehow? By 2026, he’ll probably have to be pro-gay to survive anyway.

OK, I’m going to post one of my most conspiratorial and controverisal theories:

Lindsey Graham is gay and was IN LOVE with John McCain. Wasn’t just friends with him, had an unrequited romantic attraction to him. This is what kept him relatively grounded and moderate, the type of “maverick” who praised Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, for years.

But when McCain died, everything changed. Not just because the man he was in love with was gone, but also because the Trump camp dug deep enough to find evidence of Graham’s relatively open secret. And he is so terrified of being outed, he will do ANYTHING to avoid it, including disgrace the memory of the man he loved and betray his own principles.

I’m not too proud of my state (KY trended SLIGHTLY against Trump, but not nearly as much as I hoped).

But I AM proud of my county. Biden’s win of about 60% here in Fayette is the greatest of any candidate since Reagan in 1984. I think the greatest for any Democrat ever.

Newsflash: Trump is losing every uncalled state besides Alaska.

You're forgetting NC, right?

Biden is going to win NC. Ballots have until the 12th to arrive.
NC is a heavy lift, how about the senate race?

Mr. Historically Sexy is underperforming Biden so seems even more unlikely he wins it.

Goddamn dumbass MAY have cost us the Senate, depending on hiw the run-offs go.

The Donald went down to Georgia

He was looking for an election to steal

He was in a bind because he was way behind

He was willing to make a deal

When he came across this old man sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot

And the Donald jumped upon a hickory stump and said "Boy, let me tell you what."

"I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player, too

And if you'd care to take a dare I'll make a bet with you

Now you play a pretty good fiddle, boy, but give the Donald his due

I'll bet a fiddle of gold against your vote 'cause I think I'm better than you."

The man said, "My name's Jimmy, and it might be a sin

But I'll take your bet, and you're gonna regret, 'cause I'm the best there's ever been."

This might be Jimmy Carter's last election. Watching Ga go blue for him is quite something

This is literally the exact reason I’m more inclined to believe in God now than I have been in like 10 years or so.

And he laid that golden fiddle on the ground at Jimmy’s feet.

Jimmy said, "Donald, just come on back if you ever wanna try again,

'Cause I done told you once, you son of a bitch, I'm the best there's ever been."

The only candidate who would have done worse than Bernie is... Castro.

Clearly literally every Cuban who lives in Miami is mentally impaired in the extreme, thus the line of attack “Hurr durr... Joe Biden is literally Maduro, hurr durr” works on their incredibly, stunningly stupid, simple minds.

Thus, is it that hard to believe that people whose brains clearly only barely rival those of the dumbest three year olds on the planet  would think “Ermahgerd, his name is, like, Castro and Castro, is, like, totally bad” and thus have voted against him EVEN WORSE than they did Biden, let alone Bernie?

I swear, I had previously thought white rurals who lived in places like eastern Kentucky were the dumbest voters in the country, but clearly Cubans were hellbent on proving me VERY wrong. They might in fact be the dumbest people IN THE WORLD. At least I can logically sympathize with WHY WWC rurals voted the way they did. Miami Cubans however? There is literally no explanation but extreme mental impairment.

And no, I don’t give a f—k how offensive you think this is. The next Democrat who relies on Florida deserves to lose anyway. The first legislation we should push for if we take back the Senate is to give Bugs Bunny free reign to cut Florida off and send it back to hell where it belongs.

I now support Maduro in Venezuela and the Communist regime in Cuba.

Clearly, Cubans and Venezuelans will just punish Democrats for pushing for democracy in their home countries anyway, so might as well just make it simpler for everyone.

I don’t even ever want Florida’s votes again. Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and yes eventually even Texas? That’s the way forward. I hope Florida sinks underwater sooner rather than later.

OK... I got a little carried away about Florida. I am still very, VERY angry about it and don’t think that will go away for a long time. We made all the gains we needed to in Duval, with white seniors, etc., but somehow Cubans in Miami thought Joe Biden was like three times more of a communist than Hillary Clinton and that ruined it all. Will not ever fully get over that, still want the state to be cut off by Bugs, but you know what?

F—k it, Blue Georgia just about makes it all worth it. Clearly Sherman targeted the wrong state and city. Should have been Florida and Miami instead of Georgia and Atlanta. We owe Georgians a HUGE apology.

Bill Clinton was totally right to ship Elian Gonzalez back to Cuba

Oh god, oh f--k, I just can't help myself, can I?

I should be happier than I have ever been due to blue Georgia, yet for whatever reason, all my pent up rage about red Florida is now coming out. Forgive me for I know not what I do.

LOL, my man, you're still here.

I have to admire the balls it takes to show your face around here after all you've said. It takes some modicum of courage at least.

I was unironically already thinking of moving to Georgia, to the metro Atlanta area.

This has genuinely emboldened me to actually do it.

Joe Biden MIGHT win Georgia by MORE than Bill Clinton did (it was like 0.6 percent). It would be the most since Harry S. Truman in 1948 if so.

Never mind, I'm drunk.

JFK and of course Jimmy Carter did better.

I'm sure someone already mentioned this, but Biden winning Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin narrowly and Michigan by a larger but still small margin shows he made the right choice with Kamala Harris. It isn't only about her, but taking a chance on high African-American turnout was the winning bet over any other option.

You know what it shows me?

That Stacey Abrams is the savior of the Democratic Party, and every single member of the Florida Democratic Party can go jump in the f--king ocean.

The Democrats love to move to areas once they have already turned Blue; but if a fraction of the 4 million Californians who pad their majorities in California moved to Red states, not only would Biden have won in a landslide, but the Democrats would have flipped 8 or 9 Senate seats. Ah well. At least Georgia is purple.

I think it's the next VA to be honest. We thought it was AZ, but honestly now GA looks more likely.
